Legislation Expertise

One of my favorite aspects of my role is the opportunity to meet with US Congressional members to discuss the impact of legislation on patient access. At my current position, I have managed US House and Senate lobbying to reverse decreased government payers reimbursement rates. I have also conducted internal education of government versus commercial payers. Here are the list of Legislative action I actively sought modification/changes for the benefit of the Specialty Pharma Industry: CMS Medicare Modernization Act, Alternative Payment methodology, 21st Century Cures Act- section 5400, CMS final AMP Rule, COD/Retail/SP, CMS Medicare part B payment demonstration, Deficit Reduction Act, External Infusion Pump Local Coverage Determination- Jurisdiction A, S275 HR 605 Medicare Home Infusion Site of Care Act ,(CMS-1670-P) RON 0938-AS85 Medicare program, HFA project CALLS, HRSA 340b Omnibus, HR1600 Patient Access to Treatment Act, HR 4725 The Common Sense Savings Act, 2016.

Dedicated Negotiations

I am an expert negotiator with the motivation to move ideas into reality. I renegotiated pricing terms with Pharmacy Benefit Managers for higher AAC reimbursement rates. I also developed a RFP submittal for Florida Medicaid Hemophilia program and DMEPOS recompeted Round 1 competitive bid. I served as Designated Lead Project Manager for these bid processes.
